There have been promising studies showing how stem cells can help those with COPD and Emphysema.

It is estimated that over 14 million Americans suffer from Emphysema or COPD. These diseases leave suffers gasping for air. Many require the use of oxygen and have limited lifestyles due to the disease.  Researchers are studying how Adipose tissue may assist with the rebuilding of new lung tissue.

As a result, allowing those with these chronic lung problems to live a better quality of life.

In conclusion, If adipose tissue can successfully growing new lung tissue it will allow a new alternative to how we treat lung disease.
